Halloween Fact: goosebumps

Ever wonder what causes "goosebumps"?

Goose bumps are produced when hairs stand up, like in this picture. The reflex is called piloerection, and it may have helped our hairier ancestors look larger when faced down by potential predators. Trick or Treat: Are your eyes playing tricks on you?
